Living In The Sky
December 16th was a very speacial day for me. First it was my 26th birthday. But besides that I released my music video for the song "Living in the Sky". This video was directed by a design class at the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design. Thank you to the class instructor Phil Belair and Vic & Cozette at Running Rebels for helping me bring this vision to life. This the first time I used green screen for a video but it certainly wont be the last. Hope you enjoy.

MY TRIP TO LA & THE "PLANES" VIDEO SHOOT
In the summer I flew out to LA to shoot a music video for the song "Planes" which will be on my MPMP2 project dropping early 2011. California is such a dream for me. The women are beautiful, the weather is perfect, and the fashion is trendsetting. From the boutiques to the Chicken and Waffle restaurants, its a place i dont want to leave everytime I visit.
I linked with my friend and talented videographer Philly Fly Boy at the airport. Did I mention I was crusing in a 2010 C70 Volvo droptop? Oh I didnt? Well yeah thats what I was in!! We stayed in the Standard Hotel in downtown LA. The room was very vintage and artistic. The beds were low to the ground and the walls were colorfully designed. Very expensive but well worth the experience.
Check out the official video for "Planes" and also check out the behind the scenes footage of Venice Beach and Melrose.

MY TRIP TO MIAMI & SOUTH BEACH STUDIOS
Last weekend my videographer/designer Xavier Ruffin and I took a trip to Miami Beach to finish up the "Searching" music video and wrap up the last songs on my upcoming project 'Mo Profit Mo Progress 2.' I am glad to have the talented engineer/producer Hart Gunther executive producing this project. If youve never heard of him just check out any Pharrell or Clipse album booklet. Hes worked with all the greats so I am privileged to have him support my music and journey.
The whole south beach atmosphere inspires me so much. The great weather, the mixture of cultures, and the deco style buildings really put me in a mode that isnt reachable back home. The music I recorded out there was ironic. I was inspired to speak on the conditions of where I live rather than gloat about the fancy beaches and beautiful women. We also were able to have a very enlightening conversation with South Beach Studio's owner Joe Galdano. Joe has been a producer for legends, an a&r, and is originally from Cuba. His words of advice were priceless. I have footage of it that will be included in the DVD package that comes with the MPMP2 album.
Check out the Lil Wayne video he shot on the rooftop of South Beach Studios. The caliber of artists that frequent the studio is a testament that I am on the right path.

before Kid Cudi in Champaign IL
Oct 5th I opened up for Kid Cudi at the University of Illinois in Champaign. Chip da Ripper and Jay Electronica also performed. I was doing a lot of traveling during this time so i was a little tired but the students showed so much love and gave us so much energy, I was able to bounce back. Shoutout to the girls too haha. Lots of love from the girls. We were giving 'umbrellasup.com' shirts away and they loved them so much we ran out soon as we started. I ended up giving a girl the shirt off my back. Goes to show you how much we appreciate our supporters. Check some video footage of the performance:

How PROPH linked w PHARRELL...
A lot of people ask me just how i actually got in contact with Pharrell so I decided to post a quick summary of the events that took place. Here it goes:
I was at my job working away when a friend of mine sent me a text. She informed me that Pharrell and Chester French would be performing that night and that she was going to attempt to get his autograph at the hotel where they stayed. I had just released my album 'Mo Profit Mo Progress' which was getting the attention of a lot of ears in my city so I took off work early to meet my friend downtown. My swag was all the way down because i didn't have a fresh cut and I still had my work clothes on. I was looking like Dave Chappelle from Half Baked!
But anyway, I met my friend and we waited in the lobby for about an hour. Soon after, we spotted Pharrell and his people checking in at the front desk. She asked for his autograph and he signed some photos and magazines. I tried giving him my album but he didnt have anywhere to put it. He did however refer me to the website he created called artst.com. I intended for him to hear the album but i went and put my profile up on the site. A couple weeks went by and i received an email from a StarTrak rep, saying how they heard my suic and wanted to talk with me. The next day i received call from Pharrell, telling me my music was the hottest hes heard in a while and he wanted to help in my progression. Since then ive connected with good, talented people and have used the cosign to further my career outside of Milwaukee. My dreams and plans are beginning to unfold so I am excited for the future. Feel free to check out Prophetic at artst.com and view the attached link w video of me and Pharrell backstage of the JayZ BluePrint 3 Tour.

PROPH performs at SUMMERFEST 2010 w/ N.E.R.D.!!!
PROPH 2010 SUMMERFEST RECAP
This July I performed at one of the worlds biggest music festivals, Summerfest. Not only did I get to rock the crowd, I was able to bring Pharrell and Shae of N.E.R.D. to Milwaukee for a performance to remember. This was a really big show for me because not only is it the biggest platform to perform in my city, but I was also able to bring someone who was shown interest and respect for my music and vision. Needless to say it was a GOOD night!!!
